Why we repeat the survey.
Repeat surveys show how fast each defect is growing. That tells you whether a repair is needed this year or in five.
Every visit uses the same capture and the same measurement, so the readings can be compared. Manual inspection cannot do this.
Each survey is registered to the first one, so every defect keeps the same ID across visits.
You get what grew, what is new, and what has not moved since last time.
